In all honestly both are great watches and if I hadn't owned the 41mm I woukd have been gravitating towards the 38mm as it wears closer to a more "normal" size of about 40mm. Yeah it's hard to tell from wrist shots but having photos of both watches on the same wrist, regardless of the size of that wrist, helps give a relative perspective And if I feel the 38mm 26315 is a tad small on my wrist I’ll default back to the 26331ST (Blue dial with silver sub dials) 41mm that I’ve already registered an interest for.
Aesthetically I prefer the 26315ST with the Silver dial and Blue sub dials which is just beautiful and always photographs well. Likely answer is that post lockdown I just need try them both on. Mine is just over 7” (and a flat 2.5” over the top) but as I’m a big (ish) guy can carry off 43-47mm pieces but am unsure on which chrono that I go for, 38 or 41mm, hence asking the question after your post.
